Minister Nurković to participate in ministerial meeting in Geneve

Podgorica, Montenegro (17 February 2017) – Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurković, at the invitation of General Secretary of UNECE Christian Friis Bach, will lead Montenegrin delegation, which will participate in the ministerial meeting "Past and Future of the UNECE Inland Transport Committee" in Geneva, Switzerland from 20 to 23 February 2017.

The ministerial meeting on transport is organised to mark the seventieth anniversary of the Internal Transport Committee (ITC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). Ministers will have the opportunity to observe the work and achievements of ITC, as well as to exchange views and provide guidance for the future, in light of the thematic and multidisciplinary issues such as, among others, work plan and sustainable development goals for 2030.

Ministers will be also invited to sign the resolution in order to acknowledge and confirm long-term work and achievements of ITC and encourage future results.
Minister Nurković will take the opportunity to hold a series of bilateral meetings with European officials and ministers of transport.
