Strengthening cooperation in the field of education through the renewal of the Administrative Agreement on cooperation will be the framework for more intensive connecting educational institutions of the two countries, it was concluded at today's meeting of the Minister of Education, Dr. Damir Šehović and H.E. Ambassador of France, Kristin E. Tudik.

Minister Šehović expressed appreciation for their cooperation in the field of education, which was formally based on the Administrative Agreement from 2011, which ceased to be valid, and announced the signing of a new agreement.

He informed the Ambassador Tudik that the Ministry is ready to promote study of foreign languages in different ways, "which is also one of the priorities of further reforms of the education system that await us," concluded Šehović.

Ambassador Tudik said that she will be devoted to promotion of the French language in Montenegro in the next period. She expressed confidence that the knowledge of this language, which is the working language of the European Union and the United Nations, will largely help young people from Montenegro to improve their position in employment process.

Tudik reminded that the University of Montenegro is one of the few who holds a position of an observer in the World Agency of Francophonie and expressed the hope that through the formalization of cooperation, higher education institutions of the two countries will have the opportunity to connect with one another.
