PM Marković hosts President of Hessen State Parliament

Podgorica, Montenegro (2 March 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković met today with the President of the Parliament of the German State Hesse Norbert Kartmann.

Prime Minister Marković pointed out that the strong support of Germany for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro is of great importance for our country and he expressed hope that such cooperation between the two partner countries will be continued in the future. He stressed the interest of Montenegro to intensify and enrich the comprehensive cooperation with the German State of Hesse, primarily aimed at promoting investment and tourism potentials of our country on the German market, as well as intensification of political dialogue between the two Governments and the improvement of parliamentary cooperation.

President of Hessen State Parliament Norbert Kartmann said that there are numerous opportunities for the participation of German businessmen in projects in Montenegro. He suggested more intensive promotion of Montenegro's potentials to the German business community.

The officials agreed that the Montenegrin emigrants in State of Hesse can be a reliable bridge for cooperation and implementation of joint investment projects in our country.

On behalf of the Prime Minister of the State of Hesse, President Kartmann invited Prime Minister Marković to pay an official visit, during which the economic cooperation between the two Government would be specified.
