PM Marković visits Bijelo Polje

Podgorica, Montenegro (24 March 2017) – Prime Minister Duško Marković met today in Bijelo Polje with Mayor Aleksandar Žurić and local government as well as with students. The main topic of the meeting with the heads of local government was usage of potential of Bijelo Polje and the environment. The Prime Minister discussed with students the conditions of studying, students' needs and empowerment of Bijelo Polje as a university centre. It was agreed to improve conditions of studying in Bijelo Polje to the extent possible.

Prime Minister Marković said that the visit is part of the planned activities of the Government to talk about the problems that stand in the way of faster and better valorisation of resources in order to improve standard of living in the north of Montenegro.

The Prime Minister also answered journalists' questions about the beneficiary protest, Special Prosecutor's endangerment, the request of the part of ppposition for the elections and the claims of the part of opposition that the recovery plan is made at the expense of the northern region of Montenegro. Speaking on the subject of the allocation of funds for Northern Region, the Prime Minister said as that the Government allocated more than 200 million EUR for the Northern Region from the Capital budget of about 280 million EUR.
