FM Darmanović: Ratification of Montenegro’s Accession Protocol to NATO in US Senate big day for Montenegro

Podgorica, Montenegro (29 March 2017) – Ratification of the Protocol on Montenegro's Accession to NATO in the US Senate is a big day for the country, Minister of Foreign Affairs Srđan Darmanović said, adding that the world's greatest democracy recognised efforts of the state policy by approving this Protocol. 

„We believe that the ratification process and Montenegro's full-fledged membership in the Alliance will be completed by the forthcoming Summit in May, thus allowing Montenegro to achieve one of its foreign policy priorities. After that, our country can achieve the other foreign policy goal – the EU membership and complete the cycle launched after restoring independence, when the people of Montenegro were promised to see the country side by side with privileged and developed nations,” Minister Darmanović pointed out.
