Herceg Novi, Montenegro (8 April 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković said that last night's attack on the car of a police commander in Bar means the gauntlet thrown down at the face of the State and that it will be merciless in addressing such attacks.

"What happened this morning at four o'clock in throwing down the gauntlet at the face of the State. I want to emphasise that the perpetrators will face a quick and clear response. It is not allowed to play this way with the State," said the Prime Minister.

He added that he welcomes and encourages professional work of the Bar police officials, in particular the chief and the commander who had been attacked last night.

"We have already sent police teams to Bar. Those who try to play with the State will realise soon that this is a game in which they will surely lose. Montenegro remains committed to ensuring stability, peace and comfort for those who want to live peacefully. We will be merciless to those who wish to abuse that," Prime Minister Duško Marović stressed.
