PM Marković congratulates Jewish community in Montenegro on Passover

Podgorica, Montenegro (9 April 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated President of the Jewish Community of Montenegro Jasha Alfandari and citizens of the Jewish religion on the Passover (Pesach) Holiday.

This major Jewish holiday reminds us of the obligation to respect the Ten Commandments, which are symbols of the universal values of civilisation - tolerance and respect for others. Let the mild days of prayer be inspiration to all believers to build personal happiness and overall social progress together with their loved ones, friends and neighbours in Montenegro, the Prime Minister says in his message to the President of the Jewish Community of Montenegro.

Prime Minister Marković concluded by expressing deep conviction that the Jewish religious community and the Jewish people in Montenegro make a contribution to multi-religious and multicultural harmony, but also to boosting friendly relations between Montenegro and Israel.
