DPM Pažin hosts Bavarian Minister of Justice Bausback

Podgorica, Montenegro (12 April 2017) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin met earlier today with the Minister of Justice of Bavaria Winfried Bausback, who is paying an official visit to Montenegro.

The two officials agreed that the current cooperation between the two ministries was very high quality and expressed hope that it will be continued in the future, through the implementation of joint programmes, projects and exchange of experiences.

DPM Pažin recalled the projects that are being implemented particularly in the field of efficiency of justice and prison system reform, with special emphasis on the execution of alternative sanctions - suspended sentences and community fines.

He especially emphasised that an important contribution to the exchange of experience in the field of justice gave the expert from Germany, whose commitment to serve as an adviser to the Minister of Justice of Montenegro enabled the Federal Republic of Germany under the assistance of the integration path of Montenegro.

Minister Bausback said that Bavaria is ready to support the Ministry of Justice in the continuation of reforms and will again send experts to help build its capacity.
