PM Marković congratulates Easter

Podgorica, Montenegro (15 April 2017) – Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated the clergy and all Orthodox and Catholic believers on the occasion of the great Christian holiday of Easter.

- On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and myself, I extend my best wishes to celebrate feast days in harmony, peace and understanding, sharing joy with family and loved ones – the Prime Minister's Easter card reads.

PM Marković recalled the symbolism of this year's holiday, which Orthodox and Catholic believers celebrate on the same day.

- Let the symbolism of Easter reminds us that mutual understanding, tolerance and respect are the values on which the civilisational step forward and state identity of Montenegrin society is founded. Let's protect these values and build a secure and prosperous future upon them for all citizens of Montenegro – PM Marković said in his congratulatory message.
