Bošković-Nagy: Full support of Romania in the final phase of Euro-Atlantic integration process of Montenegro

Minister of Defence, Predrag Bošković has received today Ambassador of Romania to Montenegro, H.E. Ferdinand Nagy.

Ambassador Nagy highlighted that defence relations are of high importance for overall relations between two countries, expressing full readiness of Romania to give Montenegro support in the final phase of Montenegrin Euro-Atlantic integration process. He conveyed assurances that the relations of two countries will further grow. 

Minister Boskovic thanked Ambassador Nagy for the given support and introduced him to the priorities in the work of the Ministry, as well as current issues related to Montenegro’s membership in NATO and EU. He stressed that two countries’ bilateral cooperation is at a good level, and that it is expected to get even stronger, including defence cooperation.

Romania is the ninth member country of NATO which has ratified the Protocol of Accession of Montenegro to the Alliance (4 October 2016).
