Boskovic-Mortensen: Denmark will continue to support Montenegro in achieving the most important foreign policy priorities

Minister of Defence Predrag Boskovic met today with the Chief of Directorate for Stabilization of Defense Command in Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Denmark, Colonel Jens Mortensen, who pays a visit to the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro.
Minister Boskovic expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between Montenegro and the Kingdom of Denmark in the area of defence, which is intensified with the renewal of Montenegrin independence. He presented the most important activities of the Ministry of Defence carried out within the framework of the Euro-Atlantic agenda, as well as the dynamics of the ratification process. The Minister expressed his gratitude for the significant support provided by the Kingdom of Denmark to Montenegro on its path towards full membership in NATO, sharing his expectations of its continuation in the future. He highlighted projects that were implemented worth over two million euros, which have significantly contributed to the development and advancement of information and communication infrastructure of the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro.
Colonel Mortensen emphasized visible progress in the reform of the defence system of Montenegro. He pointed out that Montenegro is recognized as a reliable partner in the international community, and, in line with that, Denmark will continue to support our country in realization of the most important foreign policy priorities.
They agreed that the defence cooperation that the two countries have reached a high level, and noted as well that there is space for its further strengthening.
During a visit to the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Mortensen met with State Secretary, Mr. Slobodan Filipovic and Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant-General Ljubisa Jokic. After the meeting, presentation on implemented projects in the field of information - communication systems donated by the Kingdom of Denmark was held, attended by Director of the Directorate for Material Resources, Ms. Alma Ljuljanaj.
H.E. Morten Hansen, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Denmark in Belgrade and Col Kurt Refsgaard, representative of the Ministry of Defence of Kingdom of Denmark were also part of the Danish delegation.
