Minister Boskovic in Brussels

Defense Minister of Defence, Predrag Boskovic, had talked today in separate meetings with the ministers of Defense of the Republic of Greece and the Republic of Italy, Panos Kammenos and Roberta Pinotti.
Bošković and Kammenos expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense, also with the fact that Greece, along with all the other Balkan - NATO members countries, has ratified the Protocol. Montenegrin Minister stressed the importance of educating our cadets at military academies in Athens, as well as advanced cooperation between our Navies and Air Forces. Kamenos said that his country will continue to support Montenegro in the final stage of Euro-Atlantic integrations, reminding that the Greece was the first contact country of Montenegro for NATO.
Boskovic expressed gratitude to the Italian Minister of Defense for the contributions of Republic of Italy, which also has ratified the Protocol, that is providing to Montenegro on its Euro-Atlantic path. Pinotti said that Montenegro is recognized as a factor of stability in Southeastern Europe and expressed readiness for further promotion of cooperation. Boskovic has emphasized the quality of cooperation between Navies, as well as considerable experience who are members of Armed Forces of Montenegro acquired in the EU operation Atalanta, and the embarkation on Italian ships.
Montenegrin Defense Minister is participating in the two-day meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Defense Ministers, which is held in Brussels.
Today, the Defence Ministers of NATO member states are continued their discussion on the implementation of the policy of deterrence and defense. In this context, they discussed about adaptation of the NATO's command structure in order to Alliance could adequately and timely respond to the challenges of the contemporary security environment.
A meeting of NATO - Georgia Commission is also held, at which the Ministers exchanged views on the progress of the reform process in the defense system in Georgia.
