NATO Group of ships in a visit to the Montenegrin Navy: Excellent cooperation in the field of the exchange of the knowledge and experiences

Three ships of Standing NATO Mine Counter Measures Group (SNMCMG2), which currently consists of Polish command ship "Kontraadmiral Xawery Czernicki", Spanish "Duero" and the German "Rottweil", arrived this morning at the Port of Bar in the visit to the Navy of the Army of Montenegro. The main aim of the visit is to strengthen the maritime security, as well as the cooperation and partnership with Montenegro.
Commander of the Navy, Captain Darko Vuković, at the press conference that took place on the Polish command ship, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the Navy has the opportunity to once again host the NATO Mine Counter Measures Group.
"This is a great opportunity and the possibility, that by the direct contact we can continue a very good cooperation in the field of improving the capacities of the Navy of Montenegro", said Captain Vuković.
The Commander of SNMCMG2, Commander Alexander Urbanowicz, noted that the joint exercise with the members of the Navy of Montenegro will be an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, but also to improve the skills and cooperation.
This morning, at the Navy Command, Captain Vuković welcomed the Commanders of ships of the Group SNMCMG2.
Spanish ship "Duero" and German "Rottweil" will be opened tomorrow from 14:00-16:00h for the interested citizens.
The group of ships that mainly operates as a single entity in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, is specialized in mine clearance operations, and other ordnance left over from the wars in the 20th century. During the visit, a joint exercise with members of the Montenegrin Navy will be realized, with the aim of strengthening interoperability.
