Minister Pejović to attend celebration of European Independent Day Living

Montenegro (4 May 2017) -- Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejović will open an event dedicated to the
European Independent Day Living on Friday, 5 May.
The event organised by the Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro, with the support of the Ministry of European Affairs, is part of joint activities aimed at marking Europe Day and Month in Montenegro in accordance with the guiding principle of the European Union, “united in diversity.”
European
Independent Day Living, 5 May, is celebrated in many countries of Europe by
organising various manifestations and events, and aims to promote independent
living and its principles, commitment to support services, accessible
transportation and the environment, that is deinsitutionalisation and the
possibility of independent decision-making by people with disabilities.
President of the Association of Youth with Disabilities Marina Vujačić and Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro Aivo Orav will speak at the event, where the present will be presented a documentary “We stretch boundaries“ taken within the project “Freedom of Choice.”
The event will be held at the Independence Square in Podgorica, starting at 11:00.
