PM Marković to pay working visit to USA

Prime Minister Duško Marković will pay a working visit to the United States on 8 and 9 May 2017.

On the first day of his visit, Prime Minister Marković will meet with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and the next day he will attend a conference of the Munich Security Conference Core Group, held in Washington, where he will talk about the transatlantic integration.

A visit of Prime Minister Marković to the USA and meeting with US Secretary of State Tillerson are of particular significance in the context of continuation of political dialogue and further improvement of strategic partnership between the two countries, which had previously been created and confirmed by the multilateral relations.

By the upcoming Montenegro’s membership in the Alliance, this partnership and cooperation will gain a new quality and dimension, both in bilateral relations and in the security system, in which Montenegro as a new ally will continue to constructively contribute to the common system of values and to regional stability and security.

Core Group meetings are an opportunity to exchange views of world officials on current security issues, as well as possibilities of strengthening cooperation between the governments and countries they represent.
