Bošković met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Maryse Daviet

The issue of regional stability is of utmost importance for the overall prosperity of the Western Balkans, it was concluded during today's meeting of Defense Minister Predrag Bošković with the Head of OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Maryse Daviet.

Minister Bošković and Ambassador Daviet have assessed the very high level of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the OSCE permanent mission in Podgorica. Minister Bošković thanked for the constant support provided by the OSCE to our country, especially through the joint projects in the field of defence. He stressed that he firmly believes Montenegro will try to confirm its credibility as a partner as it has been so far, and will continue to establish democratic principles and values outside its borders with other partners, including the OSCE.

Ambassador Daviet praised Montenegro's commitment to fulfilling the obligations deriving from the OSCE program. She pointed out that the current model of successful cooperation, in particular through the MONDEM program, will be a good basis for further steps, but also for its upgrading and enlargement, with emphasis on areas that are of priority to the Ministry of Defense and to which the OEBS can provide its available expertise support.

Minister Bošković and Ambassador Daviet expressed the hope that the previous cooperation will continue in the coming period, for mutual benefit.
