2BS Forum: Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary

State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro, Mr. Slobodan Filipović, Director General for Defense Policy, Mr. Ivica Ivanović, and Head of the Division for Military Intelligence and Security Affairs, Mr. Goran Poleksić, met on the sidelines of 2BS Forum, which began tonight in Budva, with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, the Political Director and Deputy State Secretary for Security Policy, Levente Benko, Director of the Directorate for Security Policy and Nonproliferation Istvan Balogh and the Director of the Directorate for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Karoly Gruber.
Filipović expressed appreciation for the strong and effective support that Hungary has provided to Montenegro during the NATO integration process by giving a great contribution to the realization of this foreign policy goal of our country. Ivanović said that Montenegro sees Hungary, that has been the contact country of Montenegro to NATO three times, as a country to which we will always be deeply grateful for the assistance and support of the Euro-Atlantic path, and expressed the hope that this cooperation will continue by improving the cooperation between the two Ministries.
Director Benko congratulated Montenegro on its success in achieving one of its foreign policy priorities, which sends a strong message to the other countries aspiring for membership in the Alliance.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Hungary in Montenegro, Krisztian Posa, who joined in the congratulations and expressed his belief that the cooperation between the two countries will successfully continue after the formal accession of Montenegro to NATO.
