Bilateral cooperation plan with the Republic of Poland signed today

Lieutenant Colonel Velibor Bakrac, Head of the Directorate for International Cooperation met today with Colonel Zbigniew Rosiński, Polish Defense Attaché to Montenegro.

The officials stressed that NATO membership should be considered mutually beneficial to all member states of NATO and confirmed the belief that it is very much likely now that Montenegro will very soon become part of the system of mutual security guarantees.

The moment Montenegro becomes a full-flagged member, the cooperation between two countries will have more sold ground to further develop, both bilaterally and through international initiatives, counterparts confirmed.

Representatives of the two ministries of defense also signed a Plan of defense bilateral cooperation for 2017, which will be a basis for cooperation in this year to get especially intensified in the areas of exchange of experience of military police services, surveillance and flight training in mountain conditions, with special emphasis on participation of the military police in field exercises.
