PM Marković visits construction site of Jezerine – Lubnice road in Kolašin

Kolašin, Montenegro (17 May 2017) – Prime Minister Duško Marković visited earlier today the construction site of a tunnel on the road route Kolašin – Jezerine – Lubnice – Berane, voicing the satisfaction over the beginning of the construction of this capital infrastructure project. 

PM Marković explained that 34 million EUR were allocated for this project, adding that it is very significant from economic point of view not only for the municipalities of Kolašin and Berane, but also for the entire northern part of the country. He added that this traffic route will reduce the distance between the centre of the municipality of Berane and the centre of the municipality of Kolašin for 40 kilometres.

Construction of this road will give the opportunity to the citizens of Montenegro to valorise potentials and resources aimed at achieving their own prosperity and prosperity of the country, PM Marković highlighted. The project is also related to the efforts invested in improving the infrastructure as an important precondition for an overall development and establishment of tourist capacities in this area, PM Marković stressed.

The Government is committed to investing in the North in order to use Montenegro’s potentials for boosting development, employment and better quality of life, PM Marković ponted out.
