Mr. Ivanović and Major General Mojsilović discuss cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia in the field of defence

General Director of Directorate for Defense Policy, Mr. Ivica Ivanović met on the sidelines of 2BS Forum with the Acting Assistant Minister for Defense Policy of the Republic of Serbia, Major General Milan Mojsilović.

Ivanović emphasized the importance of good and stable overall relations between Montenegro and Serbia, in which the good cooperation in the field of defence and security has an important place. He pointed out the importance of Montenegro's membership in NATO for the stability of the entire region, and added that in the future our country will invest great efforts and give full support to the further strengthening of trust in relations with neighboring countries.

Major General Mojsilović said that bilateral defence cooperation between Serbia and Montenegro is based primarily on mutual respect in the domain of foreign policy priorities, and the continuous work on projects of common interest.

Mr. Ivanović and Major General Mojsilović agreed that the focus of future cooperation between the Ministries of Defence of the two countries will be to develop the capacity for joint action in natural and man-made disasters and emergencies and military-technical cooperation, adding that our country, as a full member of the Alliance, will continue to contribute to the field of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defence (CBRN).
