Bošković i Pendeš emphasized the importance of constant improvent of relations between the regional countries in the field of defence

Defence Minister, Mr. Predrag Bošković met today on the sidelines of 2BS Forum with the Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mrs. Marina Pendeš.

Bošković emphasized the importance of constant improvement of relations between the Western Balkan countries in the field of defence, in order to strengthen the trust, peace and security.

He reiterated his attitude that the Euro-Atlantic integration of all countries in the region would significantly contribute to the stability of the traditionally turbulent region, but also bearing in mind the current security and political challenges at the wider international level.

Bošković stressed the importance of NATO's open door policy, and accentuated that our country, after the accession to the Alliance, will continue to support these aspirations of other countries in the region, especially with those that sharee some common past with Montenegro. He expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro in providing expert assistance in the process of implementing the necessary reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of defence.

Minister Pendeš congratulated on the success of Montenegro in implementing its foreign policy goal, membership in the Alliance, adding that our country is an example of successful state policy, that should be followed by other countries in the region.

Bošković and Pendeš stressed the satisfaction with the cooperation of the two Ministries, as shown by today's meeting in Budva, which followed a recent official meeting in Podgorica.
