PM Marković meets with heads of inspection authorities: Greater awareness of responsible attitude towards state

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 May 2017) – Prime Minister Duško Marković met earlier today with heads of the Tax Administration, Customs Administration and the Inspection Administration, Miomir M. Mugoša, Vladan Joković and Božidar Vuksanović and their assistants.

Determination of the Government of Montenegro to increase fiscal discipline yielded results through revenue collection increased by several million EUR compared to last year, but also through a change of consciousness of taxpayers that the state must be respected and obligations towards state must be timely fulfilled.

The Prime Minister praised the administrations' commitment to this goal, achieved results and reiterated that, in the implementation of the efforts that every euro of public money goes to the state budget, there is no compromise nor privileged ones.

Heads of administrations positively assessed greater coordination and cooperation, adding that they have good relations with the business community that understands the efforts of the state and has enhanced fulfillment of legal obligations and measures implemented by the authorities on the ground.

Noting the strengthening of the authority of institutions, PM Marković said that the flawless fiscal discipline is important because in this way the state has conditions to provide a better business environment, higher employment rate, especially of young people, better health care and education, as well as more equitable social policy.
