Newly appointed Defense Attaché of Ukraine, Colonel Miroshnichenko, in the inaugural visit to the Ministry of Defence

Newly appointed Defense Attaché of Ukraine, Colonel Andrei Miroshnichenko paid today inaugural visit to the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro. On that occasion, Defense Attaché met with Defence Policy Director General, Mr. Ivica Ivanovic.

Ivanovic wished to Colonel Miroshnichenko successful mandate at the position of Defense Attaché and emphasized the  importance of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence. He said that cooperation with partners,  besides full membership in NATO and EU, is one of the priorities of our country when it comes to foreign policy. Ivanovic  informed Defense Attaché about the reforms implemented in the defence system of Montenegro, and about the steps in  the final phase of Montenegro's accession to the Alliance.

Colonel Miroshnichenko congratulated Montenegro for membership in NATO and stressed that our country has the full  support on its way to achieving foreign policy priorities of Ukraine, which will give its full contribution to further strengthen  defence cooperation between the two countries.

Both of speakers emphasized the mutual commitment to the enhancement of defence cooperation between Montenegro  and Ukraine, during the Colonel Miroshnichenko’s mandate as well.

Ukraine's newly appointed Defense Attaché also met with the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro,  Lieutenant-General Ljubiša Jokić. Colonel Miroshnichenko proposed to preparation of military cooperation plan between
the two armies for 2018.
