Filipović with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, HE Syrus Qazi Muhammad Sajjad

State Secretary Slobodan Filipovic met today with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, HE Syrus Qazi Muhammad Sajjad, who will perform his duty in Montenegro on non-residential basis.

State Secretary Filipovic informed his counterpart about the current trends in the field of Euro-Atlantic integration, emphasizing that Montenegro was working intensively on the implementation of comprehensive reforms and that is today responsible and credible partner, which will be finally confirmed on 5th of June, when we will hand over the instruments of ratification in Washington and thereby formalise membership in NATO. Filipovic said that after full-fledged membership in NATO, Montenegro will continue to contribute to global peace and stability, and to carefully develop quality bilateral relations with both allies and with partner countries.

Ambassador Qazi Muhammad Sajjad Syrus-em congratulated Montenegro on their success in achieving its foreign policy objectives, noting that during his mandate he will be committed to the initiation and enhancement of the bilateral relations between Montenegro and Pakistan.
