DPM Simović pays visit to Šavnik
Šavnik, Montenegro (2 June 2017) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović paid visit to Šavnik. DPM Simović and President of Šavnik Municipality Mijomir Vujačić signed contract on establishing Agribusiness Centre, which will support entrepreneurial ideas in the field of agriculture and related sectors, and an incentive for further and faster development of the area.
During the meeting with farmers, DPM Simović reminded that Municipality of Šavnik will be one of seven municipalities in the north of Montenegro which will be included in the projects related to development of rural infrastructure and clusters through IFAD project of four million EUR extremely favourable loans and two million grants.
DPM Simović said that Montenegrin farmers would have another opportunity to get necessary funds at favourable conditions.
"We are making serious efforts to redesign the credit arrangement with Abu Dhabi Development Fund. Our goal is more comprehensive, more accessible loan in order to attract as many potential users as possible. In this regard, the amount of loans will be adapted to the real absorption power of potential users. We have discussed this matter with our partners from Abu Dhabi Fund, during their recent mission in Montenegro, when we reached a high degree of consensus,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
DPM Simović and his associates talked with the leadership of the local government about specific projects related to development of rural infrastructure, especially road and water, which are being realised, but also other initiatives related to ideas for the opening of new facilities in the field of wood processing, expansion of the capacity of water plant, as well as others fields that foster job creation and improve the quality of life.
