PM Marković travels to Washington to attend ceremony of Montenegro's accession to NATO and to meet with US Vice President
Prime Minister Duško Marković traveled to Washington today, where Montenegro will deposit the NATO accession document with the United States on Monday, thus the country will formally become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance.
The ceremony, which will be held at the State Department starting at 12:00 EST (18:00 CET), will be attended, among other officials, by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
The Prime Minister of Montenegro and NATO Secretary General will address the public on this occasion.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Srđan Darmanović will deposit the document – instrument of accession – on behalf of Montenegro.
Prime Minister Marković will meet with US Vice President Mike Pence during his stay in Washington.
The press release will be published following the meeting.
Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro will provide the media with photos and video recording of Montenegro's accession ceremony, as well as with photos of the Prime Minister's meeting with US Vice President.
