Commission for valorisation of state-owned agricultural land to hold session on Monday
The Commission for the valorisation of state-owned agricultural land will hold its first session on Monday, 5 June, in Podgorica, starting at 11 am.
The session will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović, who is also the President of the Commission.
The Commission was established at the Cabinet session, held in early May this year, aiming to provide the best possible valorisation of unused agricultural land in state ownership, which is the subject of growing interest of domestic and foreign investors. Creating conditions to make state-owned land resources available for entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of agriculture and agro-industry, will enable production growth, competitiveness of Montenegrin agriculture, and a new space for employment growth.
The Commission will have the task to coordinate and propose models related to the valorisation of land, preparation of documentation, but also to undertake other activities aimed at protection, utilization and overall improvement of agricultural land, in accordance with the regulations.
The press release will be published following the session. The media will be provided with photos and video recording (video clips) of the session.
