Meeting of Sub-committee for internal market and competition between Montenegro and EC to be held tomorrow

The eight meeting of the Sub-committee for internal market and competition between Montenegro and the European Commission will be held on Thursday, 8 June, in Podgorica.

The meeting will be opened by Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejović.

The participants will discuss progress that has been made in the area of competition, state aid, consumer protection and health, as well as reforms in the banking sector, insurance and other financial services.

The subject of discussion will be also the results achieved in the area of right of establishment and freedom to provide services, intellectual, industrial and commercial property rights, public procurement and company law.

The focus will be on legal harmonisation and implementation in all areas, as well as the development of institutional and administrative capacity.

Representatives of Montenegrin institutions will present the progress that has been made in this area since the previous meeting, which was held in July 2016.

The meeting of the Sub-committee will be held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, starting at 8:30 am.

Opening remarks are open to media.
