EU Commissioner Hahn to visit Lastva substation
European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić will visit tomorrow, 9 June, the location of the Lastva substation, which is part of the "Trans-Balkan electricity corridor I: Grid Section in Montenegro" in Lastva Grbaljska.
In addition to Commissioner Hahn and Minister Sekulić, the aforementioned location will also visit Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, President of the Board of Directors of the Montenegrin Electric Transmission System (CGES) Dragan Laketić and Director for Southeast Europe and Turkey within the KfW Development Bank Christoph Tiskens.
After the visit of the Lastva site, Commissioner Hahn, Minister Sekulić, Minister Pejović, and representatives of CGES and KfW will give short statements for the press. After the statements, Commissioner Hahn and Minister Sekulić will be available for journalists' questions. Interpretation will be provided.
Trans-Balkan electricity corridor is a regional infrastructure project of the Western Balkans aimed at strengthening the physical connection of power systems of Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina at 400 kV. This is one of the key projects of Connectivity Agenda, which will contribute to the creation of a regional electricity market in the Western Balkans.
