DPM Pažin, UK Ambassador to Montenegro Alison Kemp: Continuation of cooperation between Montenegro and UK Embassy

Podgorica, Montenegro (9 June 2017) – Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Interior and Foreign Policy Zoran Pažin hosted earlier today the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Montenegro Alison Kemp.

DPM Pažin stressed that Montenegro and the UK cherish good bilateral relations, voicing belief that the Ambassador Kepm will contribute to boosting cooperation between the two countries. He also thanked the Ambassador for the support provided so far, adding that his Cabinet is willing to continue cherishing partnership with the UK Embassy when it comes to the issues from his scope of work.

Ambassador Kemp voiced her commitment to improving the cooperation between the two countries in the coming period, particularly emphasising willingness to make contribution to the reform process in Montenegro.

The meeting emphasised good cooperation between Montenegro and AIRE centre from London in relation to the judiciary reform process. In that regard, DPM Pažin thanked Ambassador Kemp for the support provided in the ongoing project at the Supreme Court of Montenegro, voicing commitment to strengthening the legal framework related to the civil law and alternative mechanisms for dispute settlement.

The two officials agreed that the current cooperation is a good basis for continuation of open communication and partnership in the coming period.
