Regional Summit of finance ministers, governors and directors of tax administration

The Summit of finance ministers, governors and directors of tax administration of the region, organised by a weekly news-magazine NIN under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, will be held on 16 and 17 June 2017, at the Hotel Splendid in Bečići.

The theme of this year's meeting is “Financial stability of the region in the new global environment”, within which participants will look back on the most important elements of the macro-fiscal policies of the participating countries, as well as discuss the challenges in the aforementioned area and modalities to overcome them.

Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro Radoje Žugić will open the Summit tomorrow at 09:00, speaking on the topic “The monetary policy of the region – between the US Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank”. A panel of finance ministers entitled “New priorities – faster economic growth with healthy public finances and lower public debt,” which will be attended by Minister Darko Radunović, will start on 17 June at 9:30. A panel of directors of tax administration entitled “The reform of tax administration and fight against the gray economy”, which will be attended by Director Miomir M. Mugoša, will be held on the same day, starting at 12:30.

Participation in the Summit, which is the largest annual regional financial and monetary meeting, is confirmed by the 31 speakers, and leaders of financial institutions of the region will be joined by numerous representatives of leading banks and companies.
