Officer’s Coat of Arms by Artillery Brigadier Mitar Martinović granted to Prime Minister Duško Marković

Podgorica, Montenegro (15 June 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted today a collector of Montenegrin medals, decorations and coats of arms Pavle Novaković from Cetinje, who donated a rarity emblem to the State – coat of arms from the Mitar Martinović officer’s hat. Mitar Martinović was a Commander of the Montenegrin Army, Minister of Defence and Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister of Montenegro.

Donated emblem, as part of the officer’s uniform, has the feature of the coat of arms of Montenegro over crossed swords and guns, which is a code of artillery brigadier of the Army of Montenegro.

Prime Minister Marković expressed his gratitude for the confidence and expressed commitment to the state and its national values, which confirm the identity of Montenegro.

According to the donor, donated exhibit is one of two identical emblems that are made more than a century ago. It will be submitted to the Ministry of Culture in accordance with the prescribed procedure in order to be exposed to an appropriate museum exhibition.
