Education Minister Šehović: Government committed to boosting quality of education system

Podgorica, Montenegro (15 June 2017) -- At today's press conference, Education Minister Damir Šehović presented the Draft Law Amending the Law on Higher Education, which was passed at the 30th Cabinet session.

Minister Šehović said that the amended Law on Higher Education creates conditions for better higher education in Montenegro.

"The law places emphasis on the access to higher education for all on equal terms, quality and mobility, financial sustainability and responsibility of the University of Montenegro, as well as on the compliance of our higher education system with the needs of the labour market," Minister Šehović stressed.

He voiced confidence that, in addition to boosting quality of higher education, the adoption of such piece of legislation in the Parliament will enable the resolving of a number of issues the education system in Montenegro has been dealing with.
