Bošković with Ambassador Kemp: A new phase of cooperation - Montenegro and the United Kingdom as allies

Montenegro has proven to be a credible and reliable ally by achieving its primary foreign policy goal. As a member of NATO, we will try to contribute to the stability of Western Balkans ", Minister of Defence, Mr. Predrag Bošković said  today during inaugural visit of the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, H.E. Mrs. Alison Kemp.

Boskovic emphasized a highly substantial and significant defence cooperation between Montenegro and the United  Kingdom. He stressed the importance of current projects, joint training and support that the United Kingdom provides  to the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of Montenegro in efforts to strengthen the human resources’ and public  relations’ capacities, development of English language skills, as well as the overall modernization of MNE AF. The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Defence has recognized the importance of an upgrade of professional skills of the  Armed Forces of Montenegro in the educational institutions of its allies. He thanked on the offer for one Montenegrin  officer to attend the prestigious Imperial College in London.

Congratulating on becoming a NATO member, Ambassador Kemp pointed out that the successful Euro-Atlantic  integration of our country is important for the safety and security of the entire region. She expressed her gratitude for the efforts that Montenegrin side has made for affirmation and strengthening of relations between the two countries in  the field of defence, expressing also her belief that the United Kingdom and Montenegro will continue to work together successfully, as well as allies within NATO.
