Transport Minister visits motorway's construction site: Impressive, I have no doubts that construction will be successful

Podgorica, Montenegro (24 June 2017) – Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurković and the CRBC Executive Director for Montenegro visited earlier today the construction site of the Bar-Boljare motorway’s priority section Smokovac-Uvač-Mateševo.

“Everything we have seen today is impressive. I have no doubts that the works will be performed in compliance with the highest construction standards and to the citizens’ satisfaction,” Minister Nurković highlighted.

Construction of the Smokovac-Uvač-Mateševo priority section started on 11 May 2015 and is expected to be complete within a 48-month period. A total of 14 construction permits for 14 out of 19 sub-sections has been issued and another 3 construction permit requests have been submitted, whereas the main projects for the remaining 2 sub-sections are at the final stage and their completion will enable the contractor to start performing works along the entire route. Construction works are in compliance with the highest standards of quality, sustainability and safety.
