Minister Bošković's first official visit to Slovenian Ministry of Defence after Montenegro's NATO membership
Minister of Defence Predrag Bošković met today with Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia Andreja Katič. It was an opportunity for the ministers to exchange impressions on the last meeting of the NATO defence ministers, as well as to exchange information on the dynamics of the realisation of the agreed bilateral cooperation.
Minister Katič expressed readiness for donating an application solution for the needs of automated monitoring of the state and the flow of material assets, but also for possible cooperation in the field of testing the stability of gunpowder. In the previous period, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia has invested significant financial resources in order to develop the capacities, which makes them European leaders in this field.
In addition to already agreed forms of cooperation, the officials exchanged information on plans in the field of modernisation, and in that sense expressed readiness for joint cooperation, with the aim of maintaining stable basis of mutual cooperation between the two countries – NATO member states. In this context, Minister Bošković expressed his satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and belief that Montenegro will continue to take major steps in the process of developing security and political situation.
