Session of Public Administration Reform Council

Podgorica, Montenegro (7 July 2017) -- The Public Administration Reform Council, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Interior and Foreign Policy Zoran Pažin, held the first session today.

At today’s session, the Council defined the manner and method of work in the function of efficient and high-quality implementation of tasks within the competence of the Council, and in this regard established the dynamics of the work, manner and dynamics of reporting to the Government, as well as other issues of importance to the work of the Council.

The Council instructed the Ministry of Public Administration to form an interdepartmental team for the development of a methodology and a public sector optimisation plan within seven days. The Intermediary Team will quarterly report the Council on the implementation of tasks within its jurisdiction.

The Public Administration Reform Council is formed by a Government Decision with the main task of monitoring the implementation of the Public Administration Reform Strategy 2016-2020 and the Action Plan for its implementation, as well as submitting to the Government a report with a review of the situation, evaluation and proposal of measures at least once a year.
