On the occasion of marking the Memorial Day for the civilian victims of wars conducted on the territory of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) in the period from 1991 to 2001, the delegation of the Government of Montenegro, composed of Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy and Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin and Minister without portfolio Marija Vučinović, laid flowers today at the memorial in the park "Pobrežje" in Podgorica.

This year marks 22 years since the events in Srebrenica. Also, it is the eighth anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of the Parliament of Montenegro on the acceptance of the Resolution of the European Parliament on the crime in Srebrenica and the establishment of the Srebrenica Memorial Day, as well as other victims of the conflicts that were conducted in that period on the territory of the former SFRY.
