PM Marković opens renovated Maestral Hotel: Investment worth around 50 million

Prime Minister Duško Marković opened tonight the renovated Maestral Hotel in Pržno. The ribbon was cut by the Prime Minister and co-owners of the hotel Petros Status and Paul Phua.

The renovated hotel has 205 accommodation units (22 apartments and 183 rooms) of an international standard. Maestral Hotel & Resort offers a modern Wellness & Spa centre with outdoor and indoor pool and the most up-to-date trends in the Wellness offer. There are also modern restaurants and bars, as well as a convention centre with a number of seats for up to 400 participants. The hotel has 380 employees - 70 more than before the hotel's adaptation.

Maestral Hotel operates within the company Hit Montenegro owned by Monte Rock company.

Monte Rock bought Maestral Hotel for EUR 27 million and invested EUR 20 million in its adaptation so that the total investment was about EUR 50 million. The works lasted from October 2016 to June 2017.

The Prime Minister said, addressing the quests, that the Government of Montenegro was strongly committed and dedicated to the rapid and quality valorization of the potential of our country, primarily those in tourism, and that it is therefore necessary to strengthen institutions, establish the rule of law and create a favourable business environment.
