Director General Volkov visits the Ministry of Defence of Slovenia

The General Director of the Human Resources Directorate, Mihailo Volkov, visited the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia from 27th to 29th June 2017. During the visit Volkov talked with the representatives of the Department of Military Affairs - Personnel Recruitment Department on conditions and procedures, as well as the implementation of voluntary military service training in order to exchange experiences and adopt practical solutions in order to achieve strategic goals more successfully in Montenegro, starting in 2019. On this occasion, General Director Volkov presented the reasons for the introduction of a voluntary military service system and the measures that will be taken to implement it.

The visit was realized at Bohinjska Bela barracks, where training is conducted not only for voluntary military service, but also for military camps for secondary school and student population, which was another topic of discussion for representatives of the two delegations. Montenegrin representatives had the opportunity to attend training of persons who are volunteering in military service and talk with military camp instructors.

Bearing in mind the commitment of the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro to prepare and implement the system of a voluntary military service and the implementation and improvement of military camps for young people, as well as the years of experience of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia regarding the mentioned, the realized visit was more than successful. Moreover, in addition to these topics, the quality of the management of human resources management policies was also discussed.

General Director Volkov also met with Director of the Defence Affairs Directorate, Srećko Zajec, and on that occasion the two discussed the cooperation between the two ministries so far and concluded that the talks in the field of human resources development are of great importance and should be continued in the future.
