Information regarding fires in Montenegrin coastal area

With regard to fires that hit the coastal area and inland Montenegro during the last couple of days the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism would like to inform tourists, tour operators, hoteliers and other interested domestic and regional public that, according to reports received from Directorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, the situation on the ground is stable and safe. Furthermore, fires have been contained and private accommodation and other tourist facilities are safe.

Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism and National Tourism Organization of Montenegro would like to express gratitude to the competent authorities and volunteers who managed to put the fires under control with the help of international assistance. We would like to thank tourists as well who happened to be in these vulnerable areas, for their understanding and expressed concern.
