PM Marković expresses condolences to his Chinese counterpart: We are sharing pain with Chinese people

Podgorica, Montenegro (9 August 2017) – Prime Minister Duško Marković expressed condolences to President of the National Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang on the occasion of the earthquake in Sichuan.

We are deeply troubled by the news about the devastating earthquake that hit the southwestern part of the Chinese province of Sichuan, in which dozens of people tragically lost their lives and over a hundred were injured. On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I refer to you and the families of the victims the expressions of deepest sympathy and solidarity, as well as the desire for a quick recovery of all the injured. We are sharing the pain with the Chinese people and we are sending words of support at this difficult moment, the Prime Minister’s telegram of condolences reads.
