Podgorica, Montenegro (25 August 2017) – Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Montenegro Alison Kemp, for talks on bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The two officials agreed that the interest of British investors has been increased in the recent months as an outcome of Montenegro's achievements during the last few months, namely the NATO membership, intensive negotiation process with the EU and encouraging results that the Government has achieved in the field of fiscal consolidation.
Ambassador Kemp informed PM Marković that the British Government has approved funds for the project aimed at improving communication between the Government and the ministries with the public, adding that the British institutions will be engaged in the preparation of this project.
The meeting also discussed the cooperation in the fight against organised crime, as well as efforts in enhancing capacities and infrastructure regarding the protection from cyber-attacks.
The two governments should intensify the exchange of the high level official visits in the coming period in order to strengthen partnership between the two countries, the meeting pointed out.
