Žabljak: Solving water supply issues in favor of record tourist season
Žabljak,
Montenegro (30 August 2017) -- During the working visit to Žabljak, the Deputy
Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović
also spoke with representatives of local government headed by Mayor Veselin
Vukićević.
Both sides
expressed satisfaction with this year's tourist season, as well as the results
of joint projects of local government and the Government on improving the
conditions for entrepreneurship development, especially in the area of
agricultural production and improvement of living and working conditions in
rural areas.
Minister
Simović said that special satisfaction is expressed by the common results achieved
in the previous period, which enabled the tourist season to pass the best
possible way. “First of all, I mean water supply of Žabljak, where we
have noted that, with the intervention measures organised by the Government, we
managed to ensure that Žabljak has the maximum possible regular water supply
throughout the season in a very specific and hydrological difficult year,”
Minister Simović noted, adding that they learned about what should be done in
the upcoming period in order to solve this problem permanently in the coming
years, when even better tourist years are expected.
The visit of the Deputy Prime Minister was an opportunity to consider the rationalisation of the capital budget for this municipality, with Minister Simović’s assessment that new dynamics and new intensity are needed in order to successfully implement everything that was planned.
The visit to the Agro-Business Centre was an opportunity for Minister Simović to encourage employees to be even more active in communication and to help agricultural producers who need help to successfully apply for the support projects and measures from the Agrobudget, as he stated.
