PM Marković hosts EHF President Wiederer: Support to Montenegro as co-organiser of Women's EHF EURO 2022
Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today President of the European Handball Federation (EHF) Michael Wiederer.
The interlocutors agreed at the meeting that Montenegro, as a state that continuously records top handball results, should bid as the co-organiser of the European Handball Championship for Women in 2022.
The Prime Minister informed Mr Wiederer about the Government's policy, which implies additional incentives for the development of sports, especially for clubs and individuals who achieve top results.
Minister of Sports Nikola Janović introduced the President of the EHF with the basic competencies of the Ministry of Sports – systematic work with children and further affirmation of representative sport.
The EHF President expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Montenegro, giving special recognition to the successes of Montenegrin athletes.
Montenegro, Slovenia and Macedonia informed the European Handball Federation at the end of August that they intend to bid for a joint organisation of the Women's EHF EURO.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President of the European Handball Federation Predrag Bošković.
