PM Marković meets with leadership of Municipality of Nikšić: Powerful progress of your city is visible to everyone
Prime Minister Duško Marković assessed today at a meeting with President of the Municipality of Nikšić Veselin Grbović and President of the Municipal Assembly Radivoje Lalo Nikčević that thanks to the numerous activities of Nikšić Municipality, it made a powerful step forward that is visible to all citizens.
The Prime Minister congratulated citizens and Nikšić Municipality on the Municipality Day – City's Liberation Day – 18 September, and expressed readiness of the Government to continue to work with the leadership of the Municipality of Nikšić to further develop the municipality with the aim of attracting investments and raising the quality of life of citizens.
The President of the Municipality informed the Prime Minister that the financial situation in the public sector in Nikšić is consolidated, that payments are paid regularly, that the Municipality does not owe single euro of taxes and contributions, and all financial obligations are timely fulfilled. The Nikšić Municipality Administration informed the Prime Minister about projects that have been successfully implemented, such as city collector and a number of local waterworks, as well as development plans that include, among other things, the valorization of land water potentials and the plan to adapt the Kapino Polje Airport so that it could be used for commercial traffic.
At the meeting, it was jointly concluded that particularly good news is the increased investment activity in the construction sector, and that the proposed Law on Spatial Planning and Building Construction provides new opportunities for development.
The leadership of the Municipality of Nikšić especially emphasised that it fully supports the proposed law.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President of the Municipality Marko Radojević and Secretary of Finance Sanija Fatić.
