Response: Claims by Democratic Montenegro are untrue, already answered, they will be dealt with again in direct contact with public

Podgorica, Montenegro (16 September 2017) -- Regarding today's brutal untruths of the Democratic Montenegro concerning the Draft Law on Spatial Development and Construction of Structures, and for the purpose of providing complete and truthful public information, we note that the public hearings on the proposed law has been conducted in accordance with the regulations and that they have revealed many facts that disprove today's claims. Nor is the proposed law unconstitutional, nor anti-European, nor is it incompatible with any international act, nor does it prevent local governments from participating in procedures, especially at the expense of quality (Public Discussion Report on the Draft Law on Spatial Planning and Construction is available here).

Passing of such an important law excludes embracing the reckless media suppression with a political party recognised by the presentation of unfounded claims on weekends wishing, in the absence of facts and knowledge, to gain as large media space as possible.

Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism will organise a working breakfast with representatives of the Montenegrin media, which will be another opportunity for opening discussion on the proposed legal solutions in a serious and responsible manner.
