PM Marković hosts owner of Iberostar Hotel Group Miguel Fluxa Rossello

PR ServicePrime Minister Duško Marković hosted Spanish businessman Miguel Fluxà Rosselló, the only owner of Iberostar Hotel Group, who expressed interest in the acquisition of specific tourism resources in Montenegro.

The Prime Minister thanked the Spanish businessman for the presence of his renowned chain in Montenegro, assessing that it represents a strong contribution to the tourist offer of our country. PM Marković informed the guest about the economic trends and the excellent results of fiscal consolidation so far, as well as tax and other advantages of investing in Montenegro, especially in the construction and operation of hotels of high category. The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of foreign investments as one of the prerequisites for improving the tourist offer, and thus raising the standards and quality of life of citizens. In this context, the Prime Minister said that his cabinet is available on a daily basis to respectable investors. "There is no more important work for me," PM Marković said.

At the meeting it was jointly concluded that investment in infrastructure, especially fast quality valorization of Montenegrin airports, is one of the most important preconditions for further development of tourism in Montenegro.

Iberostar Hotel Group owns more than 100 hotels with 33,500 in 30 countries and more than 40 destinations around the world, including Hotel "Riviera" in Njivice, which will be opened in May next year. A group that employs some 27,000 people annually generates more than EUR two billion of turnover. Miguel Fluxà Rosselló is 581th on the Forbes list, and in Spain he is the fourth wealthiest man, whose fortune is estimated at EUR 4.4 billion.
