AF MNE delegation headed by General Jokić participates in NATO Military Committee Conference

Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, Colonel General Ljubiša Jokić participates today in the session of the NATO Military Committee, the highest military authority of the Alliance.
It is the first time that Montenegro participates in the conference as full-pledged members of the Alliance.

Chairman of the Military Committee, General Peter Pavel, after his introductory speech, welcomed General Jokić and express his deep contempt for General’s participation in the format of Chiefs of Defence of the Alliance.

During the conference, there were talks about progress concerning stability projections with a special focus on the security situations in the Western Balkans. Additionally, there were discussions on NATO Command structure, as well as further proposals related to NATO missions Resolute Support in Afghanistan and KFOR in Kosovo.

At the margin of the conference, General Jokić met Chief of General Staff of Republic of Albania Kollcaku and Chief of General Staff of Republic of Croatia General Šundov. At the separate meetings, the Chiefs have been talking about the relationships between two armed forces and possibilities of promotion of their cooperation in the field of training.
