PM Marković meets with leadership of Municipality of Pljevlja: You have perspective and understanding of Government

Pljevlja, Montenegro (23 September 2017) -- Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković met today in Pljevlja with with the leadership of the Municipality, led by Mayor Mirko Đačić and Speaker of the Municipal Parliament Tarik Gadžović.

At the meeting attended by representatives of Pljevlja public companies as well, the Prime Minister was informed about the development projects in this municipality as well as the challenges that Pljevlja is facing.

Prime Minister Marković said that Pljevlja has a perspective and will always have the understanding of both the Prime Minister and the Government as a whole.

"We need to create the conditions in Pljevlja in order to better and more efficient exploit resources in energy, agriculture and tourism," the Prime Minister said, adding that the expects every local government to create development policies. Speaking of the Coal Mine and Electric Power Industry of Montenegro, he said that these two companies must represent a functional entity that must stimulate development and increase development chances.

The meeting expressed satisfaction with the fact that local authorities in Pljevlja successfully implemented projects for reconstruction of municipal and local infrastructure.

Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić also attended the meeting.
